Ayo Adegboye was appointed Managing Director of BCX Nigeria in August 2016. Prior to that, he was the Vice President ITB at Schneider Electrics West Africa, overseeing APC by Schneider Electric IT businesses and Operations across West and East Africa. This included P&L for Large Enterprise Business, Retail (B2C), Data Center Infrastructure & StructureWare Software, Sales, Support, Marketing and Services. He also worked at IBM as ITS Business Leader, Samsung as Director of B2B and MTN as Enterprise Business Manager.
In 2018, when BCX decided to divest its stake outside southern Africa, Ayo spearheaded the acquisition of BCX Nigeria birthing the new brand Arravo Ltd which he leads as CEO.
Ayo graduated from the prestigious University of Ilorin where he studied Geology and Mineral Science. He later proceeded to the United Kingdom where he obtained MBA in Telecommunications from Informal Telecom Academy; and Global Executive MBA from Manchester Business School, UK.
Over the years, he has undergone several professional trainings locally and internationally.
Besides these trainings, he holds several professional certifications from various professional bodies within and outside the country which include, PRINCE2 from Project Management College UK, A Fellow of Institute of Information Management, Africa, A Fellow of Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria, A Stratham Bryce Certified Complex Solution Sales Manager, South Africa, Global Strategic Leadership program from IESE Business School, Barcelona, Spain. He was recently offered an honorary PhD degree from Victoria Global University as Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Doctor of business in entrepreneur (Honorary).
A trainer, coach and mentor, Ayo has been a speaker at several local and international conferences where he offers solutions to emerging Africa economy, complex solution selling and impact of IT on modern day businesses and IoT (Internet of Things). A recent analysis of the Nigerian IT and software industry and ranking executives in several categories which reflect the exemplary strength of business network and the size of company, ranked Ayo Adegboye in the top 1% of overall Nigerian executives.
